The Brightest Shine Big @ The Bridgeport

Last night was a smaller than usual turnout at the ol’ BP, but we did have the best of the best (minus You’re to tense) out to play. It was a spectacular battle, as no one scored under a hundred points on the Bingo round, assuring a pretty tight game. The Jeopardy round was lots of fun, and yes, yours truly did let slip one of the words I was looking for in the Scrips spelling word rounds. I don’t think I’ve EVER heard that much applause. So I guess I need to just flub a little more, it makes you all so happy. Thanks for all the cheers. And the great tips. Love my BP teams.

Yahtzee! was the bingo round winner, and they did get the coveted bingo bonus, so they flew off to a nice head start, which they retained all night, btw. Nice going Yahtzee! Special thanks to Yahtzee for their hard work on helping me navigate that horrible Geometry Handout, or Geometry HO as I like to call it. Me and Math are such good friends, it’s a shame we don’t spend more time together, really. I just can’t seem to find the time to caress her quite as much as I used to, and last night’s Hand Out was a nice reminder of WHY. She was all Pi-eyed and beautiful though, and I’ve never seen such boners over a handout before. Math teachers, math geeks, math nerds…and Little Nemo got a perfect score on the Geometry bitch. They kicked her ass, and took her name. Everyone did fairly well on the Geometry to be fair. It was that OTHER handout about the vocabulary that kinda sucked the wind out of you, right? Little Nemo had all the questions right for Math, and only 3 correct for vocabulary. So I guess they have lots to say but they may have to draw a diagram to show you what they mean. This could be a very interesting idea….

Yahtzee did take the win last night, as they chose the final question of the “Slavic word origin” and this led them to the final challenge question, which was of course spelling, and they spelled out Perestroika correctly to take the win. I Quiz on your grave also got the final correct, and wagered well, to take second. While Little Nemo made it into the final round, but wagered conservatively and lost their shot at the glory.

My special quizmaster thanks and nod to Yahtzee for the Math help, I quiz on your grave for their gentle reminder about that Thailand religion question ( and that fat ass tip!), and a nod to Siren’s of Titan for missing that math question (even after all the diligent hard work) because of reading the number incorrectly. Boo Geometry, you whore. I should also mention here that Cattle Prodigy did play, but alas, did nothing worth mentioning other than the “moo” when I called out the team name. They didn’t even make it to the final three, they didn’t ace a handout, and they didn’t win the bingo.

Some of the best quizzes though, in my humble opinion, are the ones that you win against the fiercest opponents. Last night was a damn tight game, and an awful lot of fun to host. (except for all the Math)

Till next week, tell your friends, seating is NOW open at the Bridgeport….come one come all. Cattle Prodigy needs to feel better about 5 place you know?

When I went home last night, I took an MRI of what happened…check it out:
