People must love spelling ‘cuz there were teams just a-waiting my arrival and I usually don’t have a crowd waiting. And the crowd just kept growing. Maybe the long, warm weekend had everyone looking forward to beer in their favorite local pub with their quizzy at the helm.
…too bad I seemed to be illiterate and tongue tied all night! LOL. What can I say…today was my Monday.
Bingo was a fun with a 3-way tie for the bonus bingo points. We even had one player, member of the Speling Bee-otches, so excited and determined to beat Crack Trivia Unit 6 and Crack Trivia Unit 8 to the table to turn in their answers that she tripped and rolled up under the table, with a perfect view right up my skirt!! Trying for extra points, no doubt. I did go ahead and add some points and gave all 3 teams 10 bonus points. We’ve never had a 3-way at Portsmouth…3 way tie, that is. Hehe. (well we know where she wanted to be in that 3-way…:P )
Jeopardy was not easy, but still adored by this crowd. After that round, Hangover was pushed into 4th below the Speling Bee-otches (purposely misspelled, btw), who were only 2 points behind CTU 8. Hangover redeemed themselves by having the math smarties on their team. They were the only team to get 100% on the geometry paper!! Way to go!! In the end, CTU 6 had all the spelling genes and they took the biggest chunk of the pot. Hangover hung in there and came in 2nd, beating the Speling Bee-otches by 4 points. Well played, teams, well played. J
Thank you all for all the fun and laughs. See you next week!!
Til Tuesday….
Wendy =)
perhaps it was the tongue twister that tongue-tied you, quizzy??
How many Quizzes can a Pub Quiz Quizmaster Master if a Pub Quiz Quizmaster could Master a Quiz?
